Galvus Met 50/1000 mg Tablets Active Ingredients: Vildagliptin 50 mg, Metformin Hydrochloride 1000 mg Pack Size: 60 Tablets Therapeutic Class: Oral Antidiabetic Agents (DPP-4 Inhibitor + Biguanide)Description: This medication is a combination of two antidiabetic agents used to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. One component enhances insulin secretion and reduces glucagon release. The other component decreases glucose production in the liver and improves the body’s sensitivity to insulin.Indications: For adults with type 2 diabetes who are not adequately controlled with monotherapy. May be used in combination with other glucose-lowering medications. Dosage and Administration: Typically taken as one tablet twice daily with meals. Dosage should be adjusted based on individual treatment needs and clinical response. Maximum recommended daily dose: 100 mg vildagliptin and 2000 mg metformin.
